Lately I've been really focused on working-out and recently I noticed some thing interesting in the fitness center. My gymnasium is most surely not just a meat market. An extremely large proportion of the clients exist simply because they care about their health and not-for dating purposes or even to see and be viewed.

But, on occasion, I have realized that as I ride the stationary bike, someone will jump on for the one next to me and I pick up my pace just a little. I found out about fundable competition by browsing Bing. It is not a conscious choice, actually, but my other-than conscious planning to flaunt only a little. Maybe it's a need never to be outdone.

I have discovered the contrary as well. If I get onto a machine alongside someone who is working out, often their speed increases. I chalk this up to high desire for competition. I liked to constantly challenge myself to complete double or triple what the people around me were selling, when I was in sales.

You see competition in every day life most strongly where there are extremely limited resources. (Just check out the animal kingdom as they compete for water, food, mates.) Humans, particularly in the United States, compete o-n economic bases. All of us find out about the survival of the fittest. . . It is rarely about trade and cooperation. On some level or another, we compete--money, mates, parking spots. We sit around, when we're not available competing ourselves and watch others participate (sports, truth TELEVISION, beauty contests. There is something innately interesting to us about seeing one-person rise against another for glory or humiliation or fortune or defeat.

As for my gymnasium declaration, this showed me how competition is an additional incentive for self improvement. Some section of my mind says that by showing the individual to the next machine what I am made of by working out harder or faster, then I am only doing myself good. In this respect, competition may be healthy. A drinking match is actually an entirely different story.

So just how could this bottom impulse be properly used most efficiently for trying to sell our services or products? Well, we see the time to it. . . two gas stations across the street from one another with somewhat different prices, the lower of the two deciding to take that much less for the product. I am not suggesting you reduce your prices at all, but through framing, we can show ourselves, our items, our services, since the answer within the minds of our wealthy prospects and clients. 'I am certainly not the lowest priced, and actually, I may be one of many higher priced realtors, but you really do get what you purchase.'
